Coastal Living editors love this area! They actually featured Seaside on their first magazine cover nearly 20 years ago. They have been featuring this area’s shopping, dining, events, and beaches ever since. Did you know that Florida has the most subscribers to Coastal Living than any other state. So if you chance to pick up the December issue, you will find articles about Florida wildlife, collectibles, recipes and great Florida inspired Christmas decor. Especially the article called “Blue Christmas” which features a lovely beach home in Inlet Beach! (I know it’s a little late, but there’s always next year!)
The magazine is truly a fan of 30A beaches. From one end of 30A to the other, you will find the most beautiful beaches in the world.

h is filled with shops, galleries and restaurants which please people with varying tastes ans expectations. Uptown Grayton is where people come to enjoy every meal of the day and to poke around in unique shops that remind one of Lake Como in Italy. It’s also a nice place to relax among the flowers, greenery and water fountains, perhaps while sipping a cappuccino with a friend.
Uptown Grayton is fully leased with a blend of tenants that fit the match the owners have in mind for the center. A new tenant is Lululemon athletic wear for women that are lovers of yoga and running. This shop brings lots of visitors, as does Wunderland Candy and Craft Factory’s art classes. Restaurants are also a huge draw to the center.Another Broken Egg is always filled with families enjoying a hearty breakfast any time of day. Folks are willing to wait outside the restaurant for one of their superb breakfasts.

Pandora’s in Grayton Beach
is definitely the place to go for live music, dancing and a huge amount of fun! Pandora’s attracts visiting music lovers as well as some well known locals – night after night. Pandora’s books the best bands – local and non local to perform and people come in droves to enjoy the music and let loose!
You feel the energy the moment you arrive at Pandora’s and you can’t wait to start dancing. It’s easy to lose the friends you arrived with and spend the evening with a host of new friends you’ve met and danced with. Everyone is so friendly and having such a great time that you have no choice but to join in on the fun.
There seems to be something going on at Pandora’s just about every night. I have been there when the crowd was filled with revelers from a wedding party and they were having a blast. I’ve met folks from all over at Pandora’s and some people who live full time in Grayton Beach. Everyone mingles very well and enjoy one another’s company.
Even the “bouncer” is friendly and happy. He’ll greet you with a smile and make you feel welcome. The bar staff is superb and will remember your particular drink. If you are looking for a place to go to enjoy good live music, dance until you drop and meet a whole lot of good folks, head to Pandora’s in Grayton Beach. Believe me – you’ll go back again.
The Red Bar in Grayton Beach,
one of the most famous landmarks on 30A, is enjoying a very busy summer,
filled with visitors who are having a wonderful time. The summer has been one of the busiest in South Walton history and everyone is grateful that business is doing so well for all of the enterprises along 30A.
The Red Bar’ appeal might be its excellent food, its funky decor, or the live music. The real bonus for The Red Bar is the beach bar. All you have to do is walk out back and down the boardwalk and you’re on Grayton Beach with its white sand and the colors of the Gulf in front of you. The Red Bar’s menu changes daily and might include pasta with crawfish and shrimp, crab cakes, fish, penne chicken and key lime pie.
The live music is always great at The Red Bar. On any given night you might be treated to music by Dread Clampitt, a well known local band, or the Red Bar’s Jazz Band. You might even spot a celebrity in the crowd.Willie Nelson, Sheryl Crow and Steve Winwood have all enjoyed the entertainment at the bar and have even joined in with the band!
You’ll see a cross section of people at The Red Bar – people in swimwear, in their dress clothes, a biker or two, kids, older folks and everyone in between. There are a number of people who feel that their vacation on 30A would not be complete if they would not get to The Red Bar at least once during their visit. Please note that the restaurant doesn’t take reservations and do not accept credit cards. Be prepared to be patient if you must wait a bit for a table and be sure to bring cash. Plan on having a great time, great food, and a memorable evening!
Siren’s at the Beach is a fine lingerie boutique located in Grayton Beach, owned by Darcy Pentel. Darcy is a local from South Walton and her father is Captain Larry of Dead Fish Charters. Her mom works at Grayton Beach State Park and also helps Darcy with the business at Siren’s at the Beach. Darcy had dreamed of owning a lingerie shop and attended an international lingerie trade show in Paris. She realized she could create an old world feel at her store in Grayton Beach and display her lingerie collections there.
When you enter Siren’s at the Beach you’ll notice a lot of lavender, Darcy’s favorite color. The floors are whitewashed and there are faux tin tiles on the ceiling. Old bed frames create charming display racks and shelves for the lingerie collections and accessories. Since 30A is a popular destination wedding area, some of the items are geared for a trousseau. The store also has comfortable pajama sets, robes, bras and panties – some custom made.
The bath and body section of the shop offers fragrances and soaps made from goat’s milk and olive oil and triple milled soaps from France. The Lavender Lounge is a perfect setting for a bridal shower, with its antique furniture and decor. Champagne and hors d’oeuvres make the party complete!
Darcy has a real passion for her shop and her merchandise. She enjoys seeing someone purchase lingerie that she chose for the store and brought to Grayton Beach.
Wunderland Candy & Craft in Grayton Beach
Grayton Beach at Sunset
is a great place to take your kids on those days when they have had a little too much sun, or on days when it appears that the rain will not be stopping any time soon. The Factory’s founder, Trent Grinkmeyer, realized there wasn’t much for kids to do on the dats when they wouldn’t be going to the beach in the immediate 30A area. His daughter went to a birthday party and the kids went to Panama City for a few games of bowling. He felt it would be nice to have something closer to home and it should be for kids. Hence, they opened Wunderland.
Wunderland is a shop that provides hands-on activities for kids and is a natural fit for the owners since they are both passionate about art. The found Mandie Miller, with a background in education, to become the shop’s manager and she’s a perfect fit! She finds that many of the kids who come into the shop aren’t sure about their creativity, but find that the joy of making something becomes creativity. Their parents display their work at home and often purchase things for their kids to work on when they return home.
They even offer after school crafts programs for kids. This as a super idea since many schols are losing their arts programs and the kids would otherwise lose opportunities for exposure to the fine arts. They have also held a couple of birthday parties at the store and are planning on hosting adult painting classes. And, don’t forget – they have all that candy, too!
