Just a few of the things you could do for Valentine’s Day! But any day on 30A is just better – no matter what day it is!
Do you have dogs on 30A? We have found some great tips to help you optimize your pet’s beach experience, starting with Bow Wow Meow Pet Company. Bow Wow Meow is a holistic dog and cat specialty shop in Seagrove Beach, and is featured in Luxury Properties on 30A’s Lifestyle Videos page this week, where you can also find other videos about living life on 30A. Bow Wow Meow has self-washing stations, food, toys, and super cute accessories, right down to jewelry and ties for your mutts! However, Bow Wow Meow isn’t the only pet-focused business on 30A. www.thedogsof30a.com is a great resource where you can find pet-friendly accommodations, pet services, special pet events, as well as their own line of 30A gear for your pet. The dogs on 30A gear is available online and in store at Furry Fanatics, located in Gulf Place Town Center, which is the place to go for all your pet-related shopping if you happen to be towards the West side of 30A. There is also 30A Vet and Dapper Dog Grooming right in Gulf Place, so every need is met. In addition to these local companies, Walton County allows dogs on their beaches with a license. You have to be a Walton County resident, and it costs $40 a year for each dog, but if you are a full-time or even part-time resident with a beach-loving mutt, that’s a small price to pay to see a happy tail wagging while playing fetch in the Gulf.
Hope to see you and your furry friends around dog-friendly 30A! — LP30

For the Health of It, an organic, health food and products store in Blue Mountain Beach has been around a long time – 18 years – so it misy be doing something right! The owners started the store when they found they had to travel long distances to shop healthfully. One of the factors to their success is the well educated staff that keeps up with the ever changing health food market. The store owners are especially proud of their produce which are selected from area norganic farms. The store’s meats are also organic and come from grass fed animals.
For the Health of It provides massages with reasonable rates and an excellent massage staff.
The store will soon be remodeling and have an exciting new look!
with an outdoor pool and kitchen is a great value! It’s nestled in oak trees and backs onto a nature preserve for extra privacy. The interior has all that is expected, including elevated ceilings, travertine, claw tub, stainless appliances, wine rack and custom lighted cabinets. Would work well as a vacation rental.

The Pine Trail Mountain Bikers have been exploring, enjoying and maintaining the trails throughout Point Washington State Forest and are loking for some new members! The small group is slowly making strides in improving some of the rough areas throughout South Walton for bikes. They are curently working on a stretch of trail in the Blue Mountain area. The group has improved trails and have repared the bridge on the Cassine Trail in Seagrove. They hope to get more volunteers to help improve the trails from CR83 to Eastern Lake Trail. They meet at Big Daddy’s Bike Shop on 30A in Santa Rosa Beach every Saturday at 5 P.M. for a ride.
nature trail is a well kept secret that not many visitors are aware of. The trail is nestled in 22 acres of preserved wetlands within the Alys Beach community and is a 3/4 mile long boardwalk trail that takes walkers on a little adventure into nature! The trail was designed to give hikers space to view with the largest overview. The trail ofers sights of pitcher plants, cypress domes, titi trees and flowering shrubs and wildflowers. Displays along the path educate walkers about the lants and wildlife that live in the area! It’s a flat, easy walk and would be great for older folks who are interested in natural Florida.
