Greetings from the beach! Happy Thanksgiving from our team to you on a wonderful, crisp Autumn day here on 30A! Fall is the locals favorite time of the year, warm days and cool nights…beach bonfires , amazing sunsets, and a little quieter pace. This week, our little slice of paradise starts bustling with those arriving for the Thanksgiving holidays. SO much fun stuff this week, the Christmas Tree lighting in Seaside is always a favorite. Our real estate team has been fortunate to have enjoyed a banner year thus far; we’ve actually sold over 100% more real estate this year than we did in 2014. Our “close” rate on our listed properties is at 96%, an almost unheard of number. And as I’ve said so many times before, our new clients eventually become friends. We’ve been blessed to have so many of our new friends become part of ours, it’s the single most rewarding thing we do. So yes, we have so much to be thankful for. May all of you and yours have a beautiful Thanksgiving weekend. Happy Thanksgiving to all!
In addition to the 30a 10k on Thanksgiving, there are plenty of other ways to celebrate this day of thanks. There is a multitude places in our area that offer a special Thanksgiving feast for people who are less inclined to cook the turkey themselves.
The Pearl in Rosemary Beach is offering a special Thanksgiving brunch, lunch, as well as dinner. Bruch will be served in their ballroom with a Thanksgiving menu, with special options for kids, as well as wine options. Lunch and dinner will be at the Havana Beach Bar & Grill, and everybody will receive a complementary hot toddy/mulled cider. Reservations are required.
Fish Out of Water in Watercolor is also serving dinner, specifically a four-course chef’s tasting menu catered to the fall season, complete with citrus and sage brined turkey.
Don’t want to abandon all the hard work you’ve done since the start of the year while you’re at the beach? Don’t worry; 30A is fully equipped to help you keep up your healthy lifestyle, even on vacation.
For The Health Of It, located in Blue Mountain Beach, specializes in organic and natural foods, as well as fresh produce, made-to-order smoothies and juices, and even has a massage therapy clinic inside. For The Health Of It is definitely your biggest one stop health shop on the highway.
Big Daddy’s Bike Shop, conveniently located right next door to For The Health Of It, is the place to go for all of your bicycle-related needs. Whether you’re buying, renting, or in need of repairs, Big Daddy’s has been around forever and is the tried and true bike business on 30A. Healthy living isn’t just about what you put into your body, but also staying active. What better way to do it on 30A than take advantage of the wonderfully bike-friendly area?
La Loba’s Bakery, also located in the same shopping center as For The Health Of It and Big Daddy’s, is the home to all of your delicious home-made needs. Famous for their granola, La Loba’s also has delectable organic lunches. Trust us, never leave without one of their homemade goodies. We at LP30A would suggest their chocolate puddles, which are to die for!
Balance Health Studio is located in Seagrove Beach. Whether you need a massage, a yoga session, or a chiropractic appointment, Balance is the place to be. Their staff is always ready to help, and Dr. Bart, their resident chiropractor, works wonders.
Rosemary Farmers Market, in addition to the businesses open all week, is only available on Sundays from 9AM-1PM (As well as Thursdays Memorial Day-Labor Day) in Rosemary Beach. Many locals, including us at LP30A, go every week to get our fresh ingredients to cook with at home. It’s an absolute must for anyone interested in living a healthy lifestyle at the beach.
The Hub, opening sometime this year, is a new town center for the currently under-construction 30A community of Prominence. Prominence will be located between Camp Creek and Seagrove Beach. On the Hub’s website, it says that it will include a general store and different restaurants offering different cuisines such as burgers, tacos, and fried chicken. It will also include “Mr. Freeze,” complete with frosty treats. The community of Prominence itself is set to be revealed in phases. The first phase will include single-family homes as well as townhomes on the south side of 30A. A few phases in, they will also begin construction on the north side to complete the Prominence community. Once complete, Prominence will contain The Hub as well as a resort-type pool house, complete with cabanas. At LP30A, we’re super excited to see what Prominence and The Hub have in store!
Some of our favorite restaurants along 30A can be pretty pricey. However, if you hit up these spots at the right time, you can enjoy the luxurious drinking and dining of 30A at majorly discounted prices.
– Restaurant Paradis, located in Rosemary Beach, reflects the high-scale feel of its location. With entres ranging in price from $29 to $39, this might be out of some of our price ranges. Luckily, 7 days a week, Paradis has a happy hour from 5:00-5:45pm where they offer half price entrées!
